More Lovely Time with Grandpa and Grandma

This is of two Fridays ago(October 29th).
We've been so busy having adventures,
I have a lot to catch up on!
My regular camera died after one picture this day,
so I had to use my phone.
I had recently downloaded an app that
makes your photos look old fashioned.
I LOVE what it does.
We drove the atvs to Red Rock.
I hadn't been there since before I had children!
I had completely forgotten that there is such a gorgeous place so close!
(There are mountain sheep in the picture above, if you look closely)
It was quite an adventure getting there.
Here we are waiting for Chad to get back
from closing gates behind us.
(Thanks Doug and Sim, for letting us short-cut through!)
We are just about ready to cross over the rail road bridge.
 "Cactus!"
 "I'm tough."
She handled the 4-wheeler so well all day, though she said,
"My thumb got a little tired."

 This was a scary section,
and Grandpa had to try a few times to make it up the hill.

 Here are the sheep again.
There were TEN in the herd!
And there was one more male that was not allowed
to join in mountain sheep games.
Rudolph would understand.
Our picnic spot.  Soft sand in the shade.
The kids enjoyed it so much.
We headed home!  I think this is my signature shot of Chad.
"From across a crowded Rhino..."

We had so much fun, and a I'm so glad my parents' visit
gave us the excuse to go!
We so enjoyed their company.
They are awesome grandparents!
It was an absolutely gorgeous, perfect day!

  1. Sounds like a fantastic journey to me. I have spent many a trip to RedRock with family... sisters, kids, cousins. Good times. Red sand everywhere.
